AI Communications Strategy Platform

Kirsten Haywood·Former Head of Corporate Affairs, Westpac Group

The Stuck Moment

Kirsten Haywood had a clear strategic vision: a lightweight AI-powered tool that could help professionals generate communication insights, test messaging, and shape early-stage strategy — without agencies, long cycles, or large budgets.

The challenge wasn't ambition. It was the uncertainty around what was technically possible for a first version and how to turn a conceptual, expertise-driven process into a functioning product she could test with real users.

She needed to know where to start, what belonged in the first build, and which parts of her broader vision could wait.

The biggest challenge was knowing what was technically possible and how to put what I wanted for an MVP into the right language to get it developed. The biggest fear was paying a lot of money for something that did not deliver what I needed—wasting not just money but time.

The Clarity

During scoping, we helped isolate the ground-zero unit of value: a simple, usable tool that collects inputs, runs AI-driven analysis, and delivers insights users can test immediately. No bloated "platform MVP", no premature feature layers.

Kirsten highlighted how effective this was: "The team clearly outlined the need for short, simple scope on the first round… This helped me decide what was most important now, and what could be done in future iterations."

She also validated how Zorentia approached the early risks founders often overlook: "Zorentia held a good scoping discussion… where they actually tested risk and issues like privacy for features in our initial discussion which are areas founders often get tripped up by."

But the strongest signal was how quickly the concept clicked: "What really stands out is Zorentia's ability to grasp the concept so quickly, in order to turn idea into MVP. A rare talent… to apply their own technical expertise to another person's expertise/big idea."

The Ship

Zorentia delivered a functioning MVP that: captured user inputs, generated AI-powered analysis and insights, allowed early strategic testing, and created a foundation for future upgrades (automated strategy, multi-persona analysis, wizard-of-oz flows).

The delivery process required minimal strain on her schedule: "The straightforwardness of delivery meant I did not need to spend much time on feedback or iterations."

And the final product aligned closely with her vision: "The delivered MVP met my expectations… it was exactly what I had in mind after our initial discussions."

The Feedback

Kirsten found our MVP scoper tool easy to use and immediately actionable.

Her first step after receiving it: "Tested with some friendly users."

And her plan going forward: "I plan to make a few changes and then launch it as a paid (low cost) product… to work out if people will pay."

She also described the overall value of the program: "Incredible value. I've learned things about a more technical side of life, and very much appreciated the timings and support."

The MVP scoper tool was very cool – asking great questions that made me think more about my concept while capturing the information Zorentia needed to build.

The Momentum

Kirsten now has: a real product she can put in front of early testers, a paid-pilot pathway to validate willingness to pay, and clarity on what the next 1G should be (automated one-month strategy output and a wizard-of-oz review layer before results reach users).

Her indicators of success are also clear: "Revenue coming in… and my MVP as a low cost paid option as an entrée to the full monthly subscription."

This is exactly what a 1G-first MVP is designed to produce: proof about what should be built next.

Incredible value. I've learned things about a more technical side of life, and very much appreciated the timings and support.

The Takeaway

Most early products fail at the starting line—not because the idea is wrong, but because the first version tries to do too much. Zorentia gives you a precise, engineering-grounded starting point: the smallest complete unit of value your product must deliver before anything else makes sense.
