Terms of Use

Last updated November 29, 2025

Who we are

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Zorentia student platform, tools and related websites (together, the "Service").

"We", "us" and "our" means Zorentia Product Studio Pty Ltd (ABN 86 688 343 482), based in New South Wales, Australia.

"You" means the individual using the Service.

Who can use the Service

By using the Service, you promise that:

  • you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction;
  • you are currently enrolled (or recently enrolled) in a tertiary education institution (for example, university, TAFE or college); and
  • you will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

If you do not meet these requirements, you must not use the Service.

Student eligibility and free credit

We currently offer a one-time free credit to students with certain approved email domains (for example, UNSW @unsw.edu.au / @student.unsw.edu.au).

To claim this free credit, you must:

  • submit your student email,
  • complete the email code verification, and
  • not have previously claimed a free credit with that email.

We store only a hashed version of your student email to enforce the "one per student" rule and do not use your email for login or marketing.

We may change or withdraw free credit offers at any time.

Accounts, access keys and lost access

When you complete signup as a student or purchase credits, we create an anonymous user account for you and generate a secret access key. This access key is:

  • stored in your browser as a secure cookie, and
  • stored in hashed form in our database (we never store the raw key).

Your access key acts like a password. You must:

  • keep it confidential,
  • not share it with anyone else, and
  • tell us promptly if you think it has been compromised.

If you lose your access key:

  • we cannot restore the same key;
  • you can contact us at lostaccess@zorentia.com for our manual recovery process;
  • we may ask you for reasonable information to confirm you are the same user (for example, proof you control the same device or payment records);
  • we do not guarantee that we can recover previous credits or history and may offer a new account instead.

Credits, payments and refunds

The Service uses credits. Each tool run typically consumes one credit (we may show the exact cost per tool in the UI).

Credits are:

  • a pre-paid measure of usage;
  • not money, and
  • not refundable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law.

You can buy credits via our payment provider Square. Square processes your payment details; we do not store or see your full card number.

When you choose a credit package, we create a purchase record linked to your user ID, with the amount, credits and status. On confirmation from Square that your payment is completed, we add the corresponding credits to your account and mark the purchase "completed".

Unless required by Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law:

  • all credit purchases are final;
  • we are not obliged to refund unused credits;
  • if we grant a goodwill refund or adjust credits, that does not create an obligation to do so again.

How you can (and can't) use the Service

The Service is intended to help tertiary students think through and plan software ideas, projects and related decisions. It provides structured Q&A, guidance and suggested artefacts based on your inputs.

You must not use the Service to:

  • break the law or help others do so;
  • harass, threaten, defame or abuse others;
  • generate or deploy tools designed primarily for harm (for example, fraud, targeted harassment, serious privacy invasion);
  • try to reverse engineer, scrape or bypass any security or usage limits;
  • resell our outputs as a competing service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you are misusing the Service or breaking these rules.

Our content, your content and IP

We own all rights in:

  • the platform, code, UI, branding, copy (including "Zorentia", "One Gram of Tech" and "Goat Bro"), and
  • the underlying prompts, logic, flows and tools.

You keep ownership of:

  • the information you input (for example, your idea descriptions, constraints and goals); and
  • any original content you create based on our outputs.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the outputs you receive from the Service for:

  • your own study, portfolio, side projects and ventures.

You grant us a licence to use your inputs and outputs:

  • to operate and improve the Service,
  • to debug issues, and
  • to generate anonymised analytics and insights,

subject to our Privacy Policy and any additional consents we ask for.

No professional advice

The Service provides general guidance and suggestions only.

We do not provide:

  • legal advice,
  • financial or investment advice,
  • tax advice, or
  • professional engineering or security certification.

You are responsible for:

  • reviewing outputs,
  • deciding whether they are appropriate for your situation, and
  • seeking qualified professional advice where needed.

You use the Service and any outputs at your own risk.

Availability and changes to the Service

We aim to keep the Service running and improving, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free.

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service (including tools, credit packages and UI) at any time.

Where a change materially affects your use, we'll try to give reasonable notice via the website or app.

Privacy

How we collect, use, store and share information about you is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

By using the Service, you agree that we can handle personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy and in line with the Australian Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles.

Third-party services

We use third-party services to operate the Service, including:

  • Cloudflare Turnstile for bot and abuse protection on signup, login and other forms;
  • Square for payment processing;
  • hosting, logging and analytics providers.

These providers have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply to their handling of your data. We are not responsible for their content or practices, but we try to choose reputable providers.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account from within the Service. When you do, we remove your user record and access keys and clear the related access cookie, subject to data we must keep for legal, accounting or fraud-prevention reasons.

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel or reverse past payments.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, guarantees and conditions that are not expressly set out in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost opportunities or loss of data;
  • our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) AUD $100; or (b) the total amount you paid us for credits in the 6 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date and, where reasonable, notify you via the Service.

If you keep using the Service after the updated Terms take effect, you'll be taken to have accepted the changes.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

If we have a dispute, we both agree to try to resolve it informally first. If we can't, the courts of New South Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
